My Favorite Rap Mash-Ups
published October 3, 2009
One of my favorite things is when people mash up a rap song to something it completely does not belong to, whether it be a children's show, excercise video, or 60's dancing. I don't know if it shows how ridiculous rap can be, or how ridiculous children's shows are, but the combination is priceless. Check out my favorites. Needless to say, the lyrics are not even close to being safe for work (NSFW).
Lazytown and Lil-Jon - We'll start off with quite possibly the most famous mash-up. I think I was giggling for a couple hours straight after seeing this one. Pay attention to the awesome editting!

Three Six Mafia and Alice in Wonderland - This one is probably my favorite. The Cheshire cat and Alice like you've never seen. Amazing.
Soulja Boy and Tappercize aka Crank Dat Tappercize - This is a true example of 2 wrongs making a right. There are tons of Soulja Boy mashups, but this one is easily my favorite.
Lil Jon and Fraggle Rock aka Snap Yo Fraggles - This is the first rap mash-up that I can remember. Extra laughs for the screaming fraggles and the crunk ass fraggle emblem.
UNK and Fosse - If you can put up with the song, this trio of ladies put on a clinic of how to back that thang up.
M.O.P. and Sesame Street - Bert and Ernie try their hand at rap with this awesome version of "Ante Up." This video alone has turned this song into one of my favorite rap songs.
Tupac and Barney - Another one that is much older. Not the best, but man it's still funny seeing children dance to the dirtiest of Tupac songs.
Muppets and Akon - This is the newest of the mashups I know about, and puts almost all the others to shame. The casting is perfect.
